Scope

The committee inquired into new taxes such as the Mining Tax, Carbon Tax, the Student Amenities Fee and the development of a New Taxes Monitoring Database. The terms of reference directed the committee to evaluate the likely effectiveness of these new taxes and consider alternatives.
