Domestic committees are concerned with the internal operations of the Parliament and parliamentary departments. Their functions range from housekeeping matters such as the provision of facilities in Parliament House to committees that protect the integrity of the Senate and recommend revisions to its operating rules (standing orders). Some Senate domestic committees sit jointly with their counterparts in the House of Representatives.
